Super Mario RPShoes

So I wanted to have some new shoes for when I go back to school in a week

And so I got these from walmart




...And went overboard with customizing them

Okay so, a LOT of the custom shoes I've seen before while they are good- it honestly just looks like someone snagged some official art somewhere and just copied it onto the shoes.

And don't get me wrong, it probably took a lot of work to do- but it just seems really uncreative and unpersonalized to me at that point. xDDDD

SO, all the artwork I did for these shoes I created myself as if I were doing any other fanart in the computer.

Each side you see represents one of the 8 different Mario RPG games (that I know of), with my two favorites Legend of the Seven Stars and TTYD on the front (including my favorite partners from TTYD as well~), and the two latest ones BiS and the upcoming Sticker Star on the back, and then everything else in between on the sides.

It took me a while to actually figure out how best to copy all my sketches to the shoes, but eventually I figured out if I get a REALLY runny marker that can bleed through paper (and that isn't black), and then trace over my sketches after I had printed them from the computer, I can haphazardly transfer them over. Then I outlined them all with a sharpie pen, went over them with white acryllic and RE-traced over them for a cleaner finish, and then I went in to paint it all up.

The only thing I didn't have my own artwork on is them shoelaces, those I got from Club Nintendo >X,DDDD
