Description
This was for my Maya final in Computer Apps! We could pick literally any topic we wanted, so of course I went with a game. And in particular I went with my childhood favorite, Spyro 3
The grass textures I used were from CGTextures.com, but everything else was either shader presets IN maya, or custom ones I made in Photoshop like for the barrels or the egg in the distance.
The scene as a whole was okay/easy to put together, but it was all the hiccups & flaws that I ran into when rendering which became the biggest hurdle to climb over (that and PaintEffects)
The river especially was such a mess. I couldn't figure out how to make any actual water, so I just used the technique we learned in class for making rope instead and dug around on google for a means to kind of texture it the way it is >X,D
I probably won't work with maya again ANYTIME soon, but I'm glad I finally got to start learning some 3d related stuff like this! So if anybody wonders how I did something in the scene feel free to ask! ;v;
